Summary: G Suite is a set of tools offered by Google which is very important for a business as well as in study purposes. For a business, it gives a professional appeal and a classic impression. G Suite includes Google products like Gmail, Google Docs, Google Sheets, Google Slides, Google Drive, Google Vault etc. There are three types of G Suite plans though for a business, G Suite Business plan is more suitable than G Suite Basic as it gives unlimited storage of Google Drive, includes Google Vault, Cloud Search and app development. This plan is suitable for a business as the features and benefits of this plan is better than G Suite basic plan.

G Suite has a versatility of benefits for a business or for the study field. The applications offered by G Suite are not only very much useful, but also very important in today’s digital world. The first one is G Suite Basic which has the basic features and services. This is important for the students/small business owners who have to keep less records. For a proper professional business, the second plan of G Suite, the G Suite Business is most relevant and useful as it gives unlimited storage and uses and some extra features than G Suite Basic. The third plan, G Suite Enterprise is for the large enterprise owners.

  • G Suite Plans: There are three G Suite plans.
  1. G Suite Basic : G suite basic is the basic plan basically for small type businesses like start up businesses, educational institutes or personal usage etc. It includes Google Drive, Gmail and other Google apps. But there is a lack of Cloud Search, Google Vault, App maker, etc. The basic cost for this plan is $6/month/user.
  2. G Suite Business: G Suite Business plan is for large businesses and the benefits are higher than the basic. The G Suite Business provides Google Vault, Google cloud search, App development etc features. The cost of this plan is $ 12/month/user.
  3. G Suite Enterprise: G Suite Enterprise is a plan for big enterprises and large companies. The plans are the same as G Suite Business extra added advanced security, control of the administration, prevention of Data loss.
  • Benefits of G Suite Business over G Suite Basic: G Suite Basic plan includes the basic features like Gmail, Google Docs, Google Sheet, Google Slide, Calendar, Google Keep, Hangout, Google Vault, Google Current, Jamboard etc.These are useful for a start up company or for students but for a large business, the G Suite Business plan should be referred because,
  1. Unlimited Google Drive: In the basic plan, Google Drive is applicable for only 30 Gb which is less storage for a large company to keep their important documents. In G Suite Business, G Suite is available for unlimited storage. Google Drive is the most important tool for a business to keep all important documents safe and secure. In G Suite Business it can be assumed that you have five user accounts and it provides unlimited storage.
  2. Cloud Search: Cloud Search is an extra feature that is available in G Suite Business. It is for Google google style intelligent search for your data of G Suite. It is actually an AI power assistant which helps the users to quickly find out the important tools of Google or G Suite.
  3. Google Vault: Google Vault is a great feature of G Suite as it holds and secures all important data in the vault and it is completely secure there.By this feature you can hold, export, search or retain your workspace data very easily.
  4. Data Loss Prevention: Data loss prevention is the most important operation of G Suite Business as it prevents any type of data losses. For G Suite Basic, this plan is not available. For any type of data loss in G Suite Business, there are disaster management teams who recover all data and make it secure.

Conclusion:

Differentiating between G Suite basic and G Suite Business it can be said that G Suite Business plan is appropriate for a business as it gives all the extra features and services which makes your business more effective and appropriate by Google products. Recently many other features are also being added and offline service has also started. Currently, 5 Million people are connected with G Suite Business all over the world.
